We are a not-for-profit association of 8,000-plus professionals in the wastewater industry. We are committed to keeping California's water clean. We train and certify wastewater professionals, disseminate technical information, and promote sound policies to benefit society through protection and enhancement of our water environment. We offer services at the state level and locally through our 17 geographical local sections.

Computer-based Certification Testing Begins January 2009
Starting January 2009, all CWEA certification tests will be given at Pearson VUE testing centers. Certificate candidates will be able to schedule tests for anytime of the year, and get unofficial test results immediately after testing. Learn more at www.cwea.org/cbt

California Stockholm Water Prize Winner Takes US SJWP Prize
Joyce Chai of Rancho Palos Verdes, California was named the U.S. winner of the 2008 Stockholm Junior Water Prize (SJWP) – the most prestigious international competition for water-related research during a ceremony at the Kennedy Space Center in Orlando, Fl.
