  • The September Dinner Meeting will be a joint dinner meeting hosted by the Redwood Empire Section on September 9, 2010 at the Benicia Historical Museum/Arsenal in Benicia. The dinner meeting will be preceded by a docent led tour of Powder Magazine, Clock Tower, Camel Barns and Museum at 4:00pm.   • The August Dinner Meeting will be held on August 5, 2010, at Zio Fraedo's in Pleasant Hill. Judy Zavadil from Dublin San Ramon Services District will be presenting operating data from their biological Odor Reduction Tower system that demonstrates how a treatment system responds to changes in inlet odor concentration.   • Its time for 2010 CWEA Awards Nominations. The awards program serves to recognize outstanding professional achievements within the wastewater field, improve the professional status of all personnel working in the wastewater industry and related fields, and stimulate public awareness of the importance of wastewater treatment to public health and the water environment. Nominations are due on October 29, 2010 and forms and additional information are available at www.cwea.org/awards. Winners will be announced at the Bay Section Awards Banquet on January 7, 2011. Collection Systems Committee Vendor Fair
The Collection Systems Committee will be holding its annual Vendor Fair on October 6, 2010 at Union Sanitary District from 9:00am to 2:00pm. The Vendor Fair is an effort to introduce new strategies for improving the safety, accuracy and efficiency of your daily collection system maintenance operations. Reservations are required and space is limited. To reserve your spot contact Patricia De Rouen at Restoration Management Company using one of these three methods.
