CWEA Awards 2011
Nomination Deadline: October 31, 2011
There are over 20 categories for CWEA awards, which honor CWEA members and wastewater professionals in California. The program serves to recognize outstanding professional achievements within the wastewater field, improve the professional status of all personnel working in the wastewater industry and related fields, and stimulate public awareness of the importance of wastewater treatment to public health and the water environment.

The following awards are given at the local section level and winners advance to state competition to be held at the Annual Conference in Sacramento, California, from April 17-20, 2012:
Persons of the Year: Collection System * Electrical/Instrumentation * Laboratory * Mechanical Technician * Operator * Pretreatment Pollution Prevention & Stormwater (P3S) * Public Educator * Supervisor * Young Professional
Plant of the Year [Small (0-5 mgd), Medium (5-20 mgd), Large (> 20 mgd)]
Collection System of the Year [Small (0-249 Miles), Medium (250-500 Miles), Large (500 Miles)]
Plant Safety [Small (1-25 Employees), Medium (26-75 Employees), Large (76 or More Employees)]
Public Education [Small Budget (Under $20k), Large Budget (Over $20k)]
Engineering Achievement & Research Achievement
