MANAGEMENT ANALYST – OUTREACH COORDINATOR

SALARY:              $5,717 - $6,958 monthly (26 pay periods annually)

The Napa Sanitation District is currently accepting applications for one full time position of Management Analyst/Outreach Coordinator.  This is a position responsible for developing and implementing outreach programs (public information and pollution prevention) for the general public and safety target audiences. Secondly, this position performs a wide variety of complex professional, analytical, and administrative activities, including management, policy and operational analysis, research and process design. This position is expected to work independently in support of all departments, identifying need for and developing recommendations for outreach program development.

Education and Experience:  Position requires a high school diploma plus supplemental college or university courses that include chemistry, biology, environmental science, wastewater treatment technology, public administration, business administration, statistics or other related courses.  Also requires two years of full-time experience in policy, management, financial, or operational analysis, preferably in a public sector operational setting. 

License or Certificate:       Possession of a valid Class “C” California Driver’s License and maintains a satisfactory driving record.

Employment opportunity AT The City of Vacaville

WATER QUALITY MANAGER

The City of Vacaville is seeking an experienced utilities supervisor to fill the position of Water Quality Manager.  

The Water Quality Manager is a key leadership position within the City of Vacaville Utilities Department.  The incumbent will be responsible for planning and directing the activities of the Water Quality section including the environmental laboratory, water quality and wastewater discharge, storm water monitoring and controls, industrial pretreatment, cross-connection control and reporting.  The incumbent will also coordinate the Department’s regulatory compliance programs as it relates to Water Quality.

Requirements include four years of increasingly responsible environmental compliance experience, including two years in a supervisory role, in the field of water or wastewater management. Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related science discipline is required.  The salary range for this position is $95,371-$115,916 annually plus an excellent benefit package.

Employment opportunity AT The OAKDALE IRRIGATION DISTRICT

WATER OPERATIONS MANAGER

The Oakdale Irrigation District (OID) is a public agency, formed in 1909 to serve the water needs of its member growers and ranchers. OID encompasses parts of Stanislaus and San Joaquin counties as well as the cities of Oakdale, Riverbank and Valley Home. The Water Operations Manager has a key leadership role on the management team and is responsible for oversight of the District’s irrigation system and ensuring that water delivery requirements are met to OID’s 2,800 service customers. The operations include water management, domestic water delivery and pest control. A top priority for this assignment is the effective implementation and utilization of OID’s growing SCADA system. This will require previous experience with automated systems and a basic knowledge of electronics, diagnostics, and simple programming. A second area of focus relates to the CIP upgrades of the water distribution and delivery systems. The position will require a minimum of five years management experience in a water distribution operation or water utility, along with a BS/BA in Engineering, Business Administration, Agricultural Systems Management or a related field.
