WASTEWATER TREATMENT OPERATOR

The Rodeo Sanitary District has an immediate opening for a licensed Grade I operator or Operator Trainee.  Salary $3,448.26 - $4,055.77 per month, DOE.  Candidates must either posses a Grade I Operations Certificate or for Operator Trainee, must be enrolled in either the Solano College Water Certificate Program or a Regional Occupational Program for wastewater treatment operations.  The Rodeo Sanitary District is an excellent place to work with good benefits and retirement.  Qualified candidates should send a resume and cover letter to Rodeo Sanitary District, 800 San Pablo Avenue, Rodeo, CA 94572.  The District will mail an employment packet to the best qualified candidates.  The position closes on June 25, 2010. Senior Wastewater Plant Operator

The City of Vacaville invites applications for the position of Senior Wastewater Plant Operator in the Utilities Department.

Currently, one (1) vacancy exists. This recruitment will serve to establish an eligibility list for possible future use over the next 12 month period.

A City of Vacaville Senior Wastewater Plant Operator's duties may include overall lead responsibility (scheduling, work assignment, training and reviewing the work of employees) and operation of a wastewater treatment plant and related facilities. The incumbent will act as a relief operator and will respond to plant emergencies during off-shifts. Additional responsibilities include assisting in the development of standard operating procedures and SOP manuals as required; monitoring, interpreting, and adjusting computerized Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) controls; controlling the application of hazardous materials and chemicals, including transport to various facility locations; collection of various samples for laboratory analysis and the performance of water quality analysis tests; conducting operational inspections of plant equipment and facilities and the performance of preventative maintenance; and providing oversight for completion and documentation of maintenance work orders.
