Billy Schatz, a dedicated wastewater professional at Rio Alto Water District, recently made headlines for his heroic rescue of a great horned owl stuck in a drying bed at the Cottonwood wastewater treatment plant. His quick thinking and compassion helped save the owl, now known as Archimedes, who received care at Shasta Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation.
