From Water Reuse California…
WateReuse California and the National Water Research Institute released a guidance document for developing a standard operating procedure for bioanalytical testing for potable reuse.
NWRI facilitates the Bioanalytical Implementation Advisory Group (BIAG), which is working with staff from the California State Water Resources Control Board to develop standard operating procedures for two types of bioanalytical assays.
The revised Recycled Water Policy, which became effective on April 8, 2019, requires recycled water producers to evaluate bioanalytical assay monitoring results for estrogen receptor alpha (ER-a ) and aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) response.
NWRI facilitated workshops in January and September 2019 to gather stakeholder input and questions for the BIAG.
