Eric Van Cleave, President of the San Diego Section, has been volunteering with CWEA longer than he’s been a member. One of the benefits Van Cleave says he’s experienced since being a part of his local section board is connecting and networking with industry folks and CWEA members.
Van Cleave first started volunteering with CWEA in March of 2018 and has enjoyed learning how to better support local section members.
“I am proud of being the TCP Chair for the San Diego Section for a few years and especially for helping put on the first virtual training during COVID,” he shared.
Stephanie Prescott, a Past President of the Section, has been a CWEA volunteer since 2017 and enjoys giving back to the wastewater community. One achievement Prescott is particularly proud of is the annual San Diego Padres Game and San Diego Section Social Event, a tradition she established that is now in its third year.
She shared that a benefit of being a part of her local section Board is being part of the group socially and helping local members with training and certs. “I can’t tell you how often people from our section tell me they know me from CWEA or social media. I love being a part of so many peoples’ work life.”
“The San Diego Section offers so many great events and valuable training, including social events such as the annual Padres Game.”
